The ECoR has urged has asked all to use foot over bridges (FOBs) and sub-ways to prevent any case of trespass of tracks.
A release said all unmanned level crossings have been closed either through installation of Limited Height Sub-ways (LHSs), manning of the level crossings or through outright closure of the unmanned level crossings.
It said awareness campaigns have been regularly made by the ECoR through newspapers, television and radio, distribution of posters and leaflets and display of various short duration films and street plays and these would be further intensified in the coming months.
“Life is more precious than one’s time. Do not risk your life while crossing the level crossings. Trains move faster than they appear to be and can reach the level crossings sooner than we can think. Be careful while passing through level crossings,” raid an ECoR message.
