The lunar eclipse, which happened between 3.47 pm and 7.16 pm on Saturday, was partially visible in Odisha just for five minutes. People resorted to Handi Chhada (no cooking) and rituals in temples were suspended in most parts of the State from 5.41 am till late evening. Many people, including students, enjoyed the eclipse at the Pathani Samanta planetarium here. They were allowed to witness the eclipse through telescope free of cost, according to planetarium officials.
