The DAV School of Business Management (DSBM) organised DSBM Genesis 2K18, a national management event, where young contestants from various higher secondary schools and institutions participated in business quiz, Ad Mad Show, paper presentation and Moot Court.
The objective of the event was to provide an ideal platform for students to ignite, ideate and develop business skills as well as demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
Prof PK Hota, HOD, Department of Commerce, Utkal University, chief guest, laid importance on human intelligence over artificial intelligence. DSBM president Madan Mohan Panda motivated the budding talents to work hard with commitment and dedication. DAV Unit-8 Principal Ipsita Das spoke on organisational and communication skills to build confidence. DSBM Principal Dr DN Mishra observed that there is a mismatch of expectations of required market skill and academic skill.
Prof Santosh Kumar Tripathy, Director (CDC), Utkal University, chief guest at the valedictory session, congratulated the winners.
DAV Public School, Unit-8 emerged as the champions whereas DAV Public School, CDA Cuttack bagged the runners-up trophy for business quiz. In paper presentation, DAV Public School, Rourkela clinched the winner’s trophy whereas DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur bagged the 1st runners-up trophy and DAV Unit-8, bagged the 2nd runners-up trophy.
The winner of Ad-Mad Show was DAV, Kansbahal; DAV Unit-8 stood 1st runners-up followed by DAV\ Rourkela as the 2nd runners-up. In the Moot Court, the winners were DAV CDA, Cuttack. DAV Unit-8 and DAV Pokhariput secured first, second and third positions, respectively.
