Commemorating the achievements of women, DAV School of Business Management (DSBM) observed the International Women’s Day.
Journalist Minati Singha and Sarojini Brahma, Consultant (UNFPA), WCD Department, Government of Odisha were guests.
Singha threw light upon the theme “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow” and explained the audience about women’s rights bringing attention to the various unique achievements made by women in different aspects of life.
Brahma addressed the gathering about the constitutional laws of India in support of women and the general atrocities in women’s lives.
To celebrate the auspicious occasion, Team DSBM conducted 02 events: Poster Competition and Slogan Writing Competition. The Poster Competition was based on the themes of “Saving the Girl Child, Stop Violence against Women and Women’s Safety” while the Slogan Writing Competition was based on the theme of “Gender Equality Today for A Sustainable Tomorrow”.
