A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the DAV School of Business Management (DSBM) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), London, was signed at the DSBM campus here.
The MoU was signed by Krishan Mishra, Regional Head (North and East India), ACCA and Dr DN Mishra, Principal in the august of presence of MM Panda, President, DSBM.
Founded in 1904 and incorporated by Royal Charter, London, the ACCA is the world’s fastest growing gateway to the finance profession with more than 2,19,000 fully qualified members, a network of 5,27,000 students worldwide and a global reach in 180 countries. The DSBM is the 1st institution in Odisha which is going to be accredited with ACCA to provide ACCA professional qualification in accounting and finance. This will benefit the students to access a global degree to become a qualified finance professional and will also act as a value addition to their career.
The DSBM and the ACCA together are looking towards starting a finance lab of Odisha which would help the students and faculties enhance their employability skills. The MoU would result in creating more innovative and strategic-thinking accountants, which is the need of the hour, said a DSBM release.
DSBM Principal Mishra said, “The objective of the value addition programme is to create more employment opportunities for the youth as per the expectations of the industry and global market."
