In a ghastly incident, a man killed his two-year-old son under the influence of alcohol at Joda in Keonjhar district on Saturday.
Sources said Sankar Karua of Ajad Basti under Ward 5 of Joda Municipality had a quarrel with his wife Baby Karua over some family matters. In a fit of anger, drunken Sankar tied his wife to a pillar in his house and banged his child on the floor. Other family members rushed the unconscious child to the nearest hospital where he was declared dead.
The police have arrested and court-forwarded the accused father, informed Joda PS IIC Ranjan Kumar Sahoo.
