The BJD leaders, who were dropped from the Ministry in its reshuffle on Sunday, met Chief Minister and party supremo Naveen Patnaik at the Naveen Niwas on Monday at the latter’s instance.
Patnaik told them to work for strengthening the party in view of the general elections in 2024.
Those who met the Chief Minister included Pratap Jena, Arun Kumar Sahoo and Dibya Shankar Mishra.
Notably, while Patnaik eased out tainted Ministers from his team, he had called the new Ministers to the Naveen Niwas on Sunday and advised them not to court controversies as it adversely affects the image of the Government and the party.
