To create awareness on poll issues and voter participation in the upcoming elections in tribals-dominated Kaldhamal district, the G Udayagiri block administration recently conducted a campaign at Sikri Dam under Malikapodi gram panchayat.
The event was organised as part of the ongoing programmes by the district administration to create awareness among the public in a bid to increase the voter turnout.
G Udayagiri Block Development Officer (BDO) Santanu Nayak, Tehsildar Bhikari Sahu and other senior officials appealed to the villagers to exercise their franchise in the election on April 18.
The BDO vividly elaborated the voting procedures to the local voters and also the importance of the elections.
