Police nabbed dreaded criminal Sukant Raul alias Hari Om, a resident of Mugai village under the Naugaon block in Jagatsinghpur district, from Bhubaneswar in the wee hours on Wednesday.
Raul was reportedly involved in the recent Paradip Housing Board Colony bomb hurling incident while as many as five other criminal cases have been pending against him in different police stations in Jagatsinghpur district.
Raul had become a headache for the police for past six months. Acting on a tipoff, the Jagatsinghpur Sadar and Tirtol police raided a house at Jharpada in Bhubaneswar and picked up the criminal. Five mobile phones and 10 SIM cards were recovered from his possession. Meanwhile, the police have brought him to the district headquarters here for interrogation.
