The ninth State-level Natak Mahotsav of the Odisha Natak Samaroh Samiti was inaugurated at the Bandhan Kalyan Mandap here on Tuesday.
While local MlA Ramesh Chandra Chyaupatnaik inaugurated the event, Samiti president Anil Kumar Patro chaired meetin and Dr Mihir Tripathy welcomed the meeting. Sankarsan Sabat proposed a vote of thanks.
The play Nisanga Nayika written by Tripati Nayak and directed by Nalini lochan Panigrahi was staged in the first evening on behalf of the Samiti. Artistes like Raju Padhy, Subhendu Padhy, Dr Mihir Tripathy, Ramesh Rana, Satyabrata Dash, Sapa, Simadri, Rabi Narayan Behera and Arati Patnaik played different characters.
