Hundreds of people gathered at the Jayadev Vihar flyover here on Saturday as diesel was spotted floating in a drain near the bridge.
The drama didn’t stop here as many of them started collecting the fuel from the drain with plastic bottles.
The gathering of the large number of people resulted in traffic congestion on the road.
On being informed, police reached the spot and initiated efforts to normalise the vehicular movement.
Reports said that an oil tanker had met with an accident on the road, following which diesel spilled over and later started flowing into the drain.
