The State Government would submit a detailed project report (DPR) on Smart City to the Centre by Tuesday.
A high-level committee, under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi here on Monday, approved the DPR on Bhubaneswar and Rourkela for their inclusion in the Smart City project.
The DPR is of Rs 4,500 crore for Bhubaneswar and Rs 2,341 crore for Rourkela.
The committee stressed on development of health services, sewerage, traffic management, public transport system and parking, among others.
Earlier in the day, a Smart City plan for Bhubaneswar for Rs 4,537 crore had been submitted to the State Government.
