In the wake of China’s threat of war against India, the Federation of All Odisha Traders’ Associations (FAOTA) has urged public to boycott the Chinese products.
Members of the FAOTA at its general council meeting at Malgodown in Cuttack on Saturday decided not to buy or sell the Chinese products any more.
In order to make people aware of the profits made by China by pushing its products to sell across India, the FAOTA decided to close all the commercial establishments for a day across the State.
The date to observe the bandh would be announced at a general council meeting of the federation to be held in the last week of this month in Bhubaneswar.
Informing about the decision, Cuttack Traders’ Union general secretary BK Mohanty said, “India is facing threats from China, which is reaping huge benefits by selling its products in the Indian market.”
During such a crucial period, the traders are urging common people to boycott the Chinese products, he added.
