Dolagovinda seeks Jayadev, Srikant ouster

OPCC Freedom Fighters Cell chairman and former Minister Dolagovinda Pradhan on Saturday demanded resignation of PPC president Jayadev Jena and ouster of form Union Minister Srikant Jena from party.

He made these demands at a Press conference held here. He further informed that he has faxed a letter to AICC president Sonia Gandhi expressing his concerns over party’s poll debacle and suggesting for reorganisation of party’s State unit.

“The miserable performance of the Odisha Congress during last general election and shameful performance in Kandhamal lS by-poll is due to lack of people involvement with the party,” he opined, adding that if the party is reorganized and old leaders who had quit Congress because of bad leadership are allowed to rejoin, the party would regain its popularity in the State.

Stating that people of the State have been fed up with the mining and chit fund scams of the BJD Government, Pradhan stated that it is high time that the State Congress got revamped.

Pradhan also reminded Gandhi that the letter was in reference to their earlier proposal that was placed before her during their meeting in New Delhi.
