Vigilance police on Thursday arrested Dr Ajit Negi of Dharmagarh Sub-Divisional Hospital in Kalahandi district on the charge of taking bribe of Rs4,000 for a child delivery operation case.
One Dambarudhar Dharua of Padampur under the Golamunda police station had lodged a complaint that Dr Negi asked him to pay the amount at the time of cleaning operation stitches of his sister-in-law, who was operated by Dr Negi earlier.Accordingly, a team of Vigilance police laid a trap and caught Dr Negi red-handed while taking bribe from Dharua at his residential clinic at Dharmagarh.
