Dr Sradhakar Gartia, Medical Officer in-Charge, Katarbaga PHC in Sambalpur district, was arrested by the Vigilance officers after he accepted bribe of Rs 4,000 on Tuesday. He had demanded the bribe from Sanatan Mirdha of Sargipalli under Katarbaga PS to put his signature in the forms of Madhubabu Old Age Pension scheme of Mirdha and 49 other beneficiaries.
Dr Gartia was caught red-handed inside the Katarbaga PHC. The bribe money was recovered from his pant pocket.
