The Diabetes and Endocare Clinic along with the DPS, Brahmapur observed the National Doctors’ Day at lanjipally near here and felicitated six senior doctors on the occasion. Notably, the National Doctor’s Day is observed to commemorate 2nd Chief Minister of West Bengal Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy.
The programme presided over by Diabetics Specialist Dr Sunil Kumar Kota was attended by Southern Range IG Amitabh Thakur, Berhampur University Vice Chancellor Prof Deepak Behera, city Mayor K Madhavi, Khalikote University VC Prof Manmath Padhy and Ronald Institute Chairman Dr J Surya Rao as guests The doctors who were felicitated for their astounding service are Prof K lakshmi Bai (Gynaecologist ), Prof Raj Kishore Das and Prof Dr P C Sahu (Medicine Specialists), Prof Rabi Satapathy and Prof Dr P Suvarna Devi (Paediatrician) and Dr Ramesh Chandra Chyaupatnaik (a doctor and also MlA of Brahmapur).
On the occasion, guests and senior doctors appealed to the doctor community to provide selfless and dedicated service to the society. Among others, DPS director Siva Prasad Rao, secretary Prasanta Patra, chairman B N Patnaik, Roland Junior College principal Dr Srikant Mohapatro and Roland Institute Pharmaceuticals Sciences principal Dr M E Bhanoji Rao were present. Around 200 people from different walks of life attended the ceremony as a mark of honour to the doctors. The programme was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Jammula Sruti.
