A doctor was stabbed by an inebriated youth in the Jagamara area under the Khandagiri police station in Bhubaneswar on Monday evening over a road rage incident. The doctor suffered injuries on his hand. The victim Ashutosh Pradhan, is engaged at a Covid hospital in Koraput. The incident occurred when Pradhan was on his way towards Khandagiri on his friend’s bike . When he slowed down at a speed-breaker and applied brakes, a white colour Ford car hit from the rear.

Suddenly a youth came out of the car and demanded money saying the car was damaged in the mishap. But when Pradhan protested, the youth took out a knife from his car and tried to stab him in his stomach. But fortunately, the knife pierced him on the hand.  Though many people were witness   to the incident, none of them came to the doctor’s rescue. But later the doctor called up the police. But though the Khandagiri police station is at a stone’s throw distance the cops arrived late. But later, after Pradhan filed a complaint, the police managed to nab the accused youth, who is said to be a local of the Jagamara area.
