The VRS dues of 295 workers of Reliance Synthetic limited at Jhargadia here will be settled within 15 days.
This was decided at a meeting held here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of the ADM. The 3-hour long meeting was attended by Reliance Synthetics Khyatigrastha Shramik Sangh legal advisor Debashisha Hota.
It was decided to calculate the compensation amount in the next meeting on February 26 in the ADM’s chamber. The dismantling and machine movement of the company was banned till the matter is settled.
Among others, Additional SP Anil Das, SDPO Suresh Naik , IICs of Town and Sadar Police Stations, Odapada, Tehsildar lopamudra Mohanty and AlO Narendra Gaipai attended the meeting.
Notably, the workers of the company are on a stir in front of its gate at Jhargadia for last 61 days with a hope to get their VRS payments settled.
