The first death anniversary of scribe Sisir Sathua Mohapatra was held at Bhuban under Kamakhyanagar sub division here.
Sisir, a young journalist and social activist, died in a road accident last year. He worked with Rastradeep, Sambad Kalika, Khabar and Sambad. During his early age he was a full time RSS activist. He led many social and cultural fronts of Bhuban, Kamakhyanagar and Dhenkanal.
Senior journalist Susanta Kumar Pothal presided over the meeting where Dr Pramod Kumar Mishra, BJP Krushak Morcha State leader Debashisha Hota, former Block Chairmen Satrughna Jena and Premananda Jena, former NAC Chairman Nanda Kishore Sahoo, Bhuban Womens’ College Principal Dillip Kumar Das, BJP leader Prabhat Kanr, farmer leader Ranjan Kumar lenka, social activist Ramakrushna Pothal and Kalandi Sahoo, former DSP Sridhar Behera, advocate Dharmananda Baral, Kapilas Varta Editor Kamala Kanta Hota, artist Narayan Sahoo, ABVP worker Bhagaban Sahoo, Jagabandhu Jarashram secretary Ashutosh Mishra, Manamohan Sahoo, Tailika Baisya Samaj secretary Dusmanta Kumar Prusty, among others, attended.
