The Bhusal Anchal Illegal Mines Khyatigrasta Praja Sangharsha Samiti convener Er Debashisha Hota approached the National Human Right Commission (NHRC) requesting to intervene and order the State Government to give compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the poor farmer Pitabas Tarai whose 1.25 acre farm land was destroyed at Asurabandha in Bhuban due to mining.
Hota requested the NHRC to act against the mines mafias who are terrorizing the innocent poor farmers in connivance with police.
Tarai complained that he had planted paddy crops over his farm land of 1.25 acre. They found that Bhushal Sarpanch Chitta Ranjan Mallick was destroying the paddy plants by using his JCB. When objected, Mallick threatened of dire consequences. Tarai alleged that Mallick was hand in glove with the mining firm.
