Rashmi Choudhury, Food Inspector, Dhenkanal, was arrested by the vigilance police for taking bribe. The amount of bribe was Rs 2,500 and the arrest took place on Wednesday.
She was caught red-handed by Vigilance officers in her office room while demanding and accepting the bribe from one Saroj Pattnaik for renewal of the food licence of his Sneha Hotel and Resort at Dhenkanal.The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Choudhury.
