An indefinite stir launched by the Maa Annapurna Mahila Committee of Gudianali Chandia Sahi in Dhenkanal Town since April 26 in demand of RORs in encroached Government plots to STs, SCs, OBCs, was postponed for a month after assurance given by the district administration on Monday.
Dhenkanal Sub-Collector Abanikant Pattanaik discussed with committee legal advisor Debashisha Hota and gave written assurance to hand over office rooms of the Mahila Committee within a month and take action against Sadar Revenue Inspector Sumant Behera for his negligence.
More than thousands of landless people from all over the district would stage dharna in front of the Collectorate, if the administration does not fulfill the assurances in a month, warned committee president Amari Dehury.
