District Collector Rupa Roshan Sahoo, presiding over a workshop conducted here recently, emphasised on promoting more food processing units in the district by utilising the funds allotted by both the State and Union Governments.
Citing example of Ruchi Masala, the district Collector said a foodprocessing unit can be started initially in a small form.
The Collector also released a booklet during the occasion, which was compiled by the Regional Industrial Centre relating to installation of food processing units. Silpadyogi Bikash Pratisthan of Bhubaneswardistributed certificates to 28 trainers during the occasion, who were trained under an entrepreneurship development programme.
