The District Collectors were on Tuesday asked to be prepared for Covid vaccination drives.
During a meeting of the State Steering Committee here, Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Department PK Mohapatra also directed the Collectors to be ready with plans of action to create awareness on Covid vaccination. He also asked the Collectors to undertake block visits, if required, to supervise the arrangements. He stressed on thorough training programmes for health workers to be engaged in the vaccination.
National Health Mission Director Shalini Pandit highlighted the need to prepare guidelines to identify health workers, frontline workers and persons above 50 years of age for vaccination.
