Irregularities in the payment of dues in name of dead job card holders under MGNREGS in Rajdang GP under Pallahara Block in 2016-17 financial year have come to fore.
While the villagers as well as the original job card holders came to know about it, they applied the details through RTI Act. On the basis of RTI Act, Kanhu Charan Samal lodged a case before the Court of Collector, Angul.
The Collector Angul had directed an inquiry, but no action has been taken against the GRS involved in the scam.
Then petitoner Samal lodged a case in the Orissa High Court upon which the HC directed the Angul Collector to inquire into the matter and take suitable action against the guilty.
