The National Youth Organisation in collaboration with the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan organised a district youth convention here on Monday.
The main objective was to sensitise the youth on current policies and schemes of the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and also its special programmes in coordination with other ministries.
The main focus was on developing values of good citizenship, thinking and behaving in secular ways, skill development and helping youth to adopt a productive and organised behaviour.
Director, National Youth Organisation, Sameer Kumar Pradhan presided over the meet wherein local MLA Nitya Gond graced as chief guest. Some local youths were awarded for their achievements in different fields.
Among others, BDO Devi Prasad Teli, senior lawyer Srinibas Patnaik, engineer Chandana Malik and Tutu Babu Patnaik were present.
