Foundation Day of SBI Officers’ Association held

Two problems Mera Kya and Mujhe Kya are ailing the country and the organisations. Rise  above this syndrome, said Chief General Manager of State Bank of India ‘s Bhubaneswar Circle KM Trivedi quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Tuesday.

Speaking at the celebration of the 36th Foundation Day of the SBI Officers’ Association, Trivedi urged the officers to apply themselves diligently to serve the customers. In this era of competition, complaint management is vital and SBI officers must be customer-centric, otherwise the customer would opt for the service of their rivals if he or she is not provided proper and timely service.

He warned his bank officers to be careful about Nonperforming Asset (NPA) and fraud which have become a major headache for financial institutions. He stressed that a majority of the NPAs should be realised. Though this SBI circle presently is doing an excellent job, the momentum must be maintained, otherwise the circle would again return to inertia, he observed.

Trivedi asked the SBI officers to be very careful about the image of the organisation. He said unlike other nationalised banks which use the word Bharat Sarkar in their cards, the SBI does not suffer from any such identity crisis.

On the occasion, floral tributes were paid to the founder-members of the circle association late NN Das and PVS Murthy.  Among others, general secretary of All India State Bank Officers’ Federation Y Sudharshan, president of SBI Officers’ Association, Bhubaneswar Circle Vivekananda Das and general secretary Sambit Mishra, president and general secretary of SBI Staff Association, Bhubaneswar Circle SP Behera and JB Mahapatra, respectively, and many other senior officials of the bank were present.
