A group of people led by Devaraj Parida, Sukanta Parida and lingaraj Parida of Rench village in Nimapara district allegedly attacked a physically-challenged man, Prakash Chandra Parida, of Khelar area of Rench GP under the Nimapara police station and his wife on Sunday.
On Monday, Nimapara PS IIC Mrutyunjay Swain investigated the case and arrested Devaraj Parida, Sukanta Parida, Tapan Parida and Bipain Parida, all sons of Chakradhar Parida of Rench village, and forwarded them to court. Prakash has a mobile phone shop at the Khelar Bazar and his wife has a tailoring shop at the same place. The miscreants attacked both of them and destroyed their shops, houses, laptops, tailoring machines and other valuable and snatched a gold chain from them.
later, Prakash lodged a police complaint in the matter. Nimapara police station IIC Mrutyunjay Swain said that after proper investigation, the police would take necessary action.
