Senior BJP leader and Rourkela MlA Dilip Ray once again praised the State Government for its IT policy.
Ray exhorted that it is heartening to know that the growth rate of IT exports in the State is more than the national growth rate and the State Government must be complimented for the achievement.
Besides, the steps taken by the Government for e-governance is quite laudable as it is striving to provide a dedicated Government network from the State headquarters to the Gram Panchayats. The special package of incentives provided by the Government for the Electronics Systems Designing and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector is one unique step that will catalyze development in the electronics and the IT sector, Ray stated. The incentive package will supplement the Central Government’s Modified Special Incentives Package and make investments in this sector an attractive option, he added.
Steps taken by the Odisha Government for promoting investment in IT and allied sector like reimbursement provision of VAT, incentives under capital investment subsidy, human capital investment subsidy, entry tax exemption, power, water and interest subsidies etc will enable configure an ecosystem attractive for investment in the technology sector, Ray maintained.
He expressed optimism the incentives provided by Odisha and the favourable policy framework would bring in more investments to the State and further boost growth in the IT, electronics and other technology sector.
