Dilip for local recruitments in RSP jobs

Published on:

In a letter to the Collector, Sundargarh, Rourkela MlA Dilip Ray reiterated his demand for intervention to ensure that the local skilled and unskilled labourers get priority over any other candidates for jobs once a contract is awarded to an industrial unit inside the premises of the Rourkela Steel Plant.

However, if any expert or high skilled labour, the kind of which is not available in this part, is required for delivering service, the concerned company should obtain a ‘no objection’ from the district administration or Regional labour Commissioner. This should be made mandatory and the RSP authorities should be directed to adhere to the same so that the local unemployed youths will get opportunity to earn their bread and butter, added Ray.

Ray urged the Collector to formulate a policy which will have to be followed in the interest of the community at large and the youths in particular.
