Two medical teams from the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) here visited the Soro and Khaira area to take stock of diarrhoea outbreak there. They visited Bandhasahi and Sindhua village of Singakhunta GP under Soro block and Tentalagadia village of Gadapokhari GP under Kahira block. As many as 27 persons from these villages were admitted in different hospitals for diarrhoea treatment.
Apart from examining some patients, the teams also took stock of the sanitation situation in those villages. “The teams visited the two affected blocks and found that all patients were discharged from hospitals after preliminary treatment. The sanitation aspect needs to be strengthened in these pockets,” said Baleswar CDMO Charubala Rath.
