Health and Family Welfare, Law and Information and Public Relation Minister Pratap Jena inaugurated dialysis and sickle cell centers at the Kandhamal DHH here on Saturday.
Kandhamal District Bar Association president Debabrata Pradhan, secretary Ajit Patnaik and senior members Bijaya Patnaik, Pratap Patra and Birendra Subudhi submitted a memorandum to the Minister demanding medical insurance for lawyers and establishment of a medical college here.
Similarly, Press Club members submitted a memorandum demanding health insurance cover for them.
On the occasion, Jena asked the CDMO to send a proposal to the Government for procurement of required medical instruments for the DHH.
Among others, Phulbani MLA Duguni Kanhar, GUdayagiri MLA Jacob Pradhan and BJD district president Saroj Karna were present.
