Eye Ward Ophthalmic Assistant Shrinibash Chinara of the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Dhenkanal was arrested by Vigilance officials on Thursday for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 2,000.
Chinara demanded the bribe from one Trilochan Satpathy of Damodarpur village under Sukinda police limits in Jajpur district for properly checkup of his eyes.
The complainant Satpathy alleged that he requested Srinibash Chinara for properly check of his eye and to facilitate cataract operation by the Eye Specialist of the DHH. The accused demanded the bribe for eye testing.
On Satpathy’s complaint, a trap was laid and Srinibash Chinara caught raid-handed by Vigilance officers in the office corridor of the Eye Ward.
