Anti-corruption activist and farmer leader Er Debashish Hota filed his nomination papers as an Independent candidate for the Dhenkanal lok Sabha seat on Monday. Hota, who seeks a ticket from the BJP, said if the party gives him a ticket before March 26 he would withdraw his papers both from the Dhenkanal lS and Assembly seats. Otherwise, he said he would fight from both the seats as Independent candidates. He termed Prasanna Pattanaik, who rejoined the BJP recently, as an opportunist.
