The 94th Dhenkanal lakshmi Puja that kicked off from October 15 reached its seventh day on Friday. The entire Dhenkanal town from Govindpur to Korihan Chhak and from Jubuli Town to Similia with colourful lights, gates and sky covered lichi chains gives a look of Paris in India. About 40 Puja pandals have joined the celebration. Sixteen foreign delegates from France were present in the Nataraj Kumarotsav held on October 15 and 16 and enjoyed the Puja festivities. The Pallishree Mela was shifted to the Mahisiapat ground this year. The 35-feet-wide Collectorate road and the main market road from Rathagada to Baji Chowk witness so much rush that it is difficult for elderly people to walk comfortably. The Pallishree Mela has made a record business of `1.92 crore till October 19, official sources informed.
