Dhenkanal district Collector Bhumesh Chandra Behera has been admitted to an ICU of the Ashwini Hospital here. However, he has tested negative for Covid-19 in RT-PCR test.
Behera took to Twitter on Monday to inform that he has been hospitalised due to mild chest infection and his condition is stable now. Sources said he had visited the Dhenkanal the Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital on Sunday for a health checkup and was diagnosed with chest infection. After preliminary treatment, doctors at the hospital referred him to the Ashwini Hospital.
Dhenkanal Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) Sujatarani Mishra said the Collector has already been administered with both doses of Covid-19 vaccine. His RT-PCR report has also come out negative. After detection of mild chest infection, he has been sent to the Ashwini Hospital for advance treatment, she added.
