District BJD president and Parjang MlA Nrusingha Charan Sahu has expressed concern over the apathy shown to the development of railway infrastructure in undivided Dhenkanal district by the East Coast Railways (ECoR).
Sahu said that the ECoR is collecting Rs 10,000 crore as revenue per annum from Dhenkanal and Angul districts, but it has paid scant attention to the development of the Dhenkanal station which is over 90 years old and other stations. Sahu demanded introduction of a DMU from Angul to Bhubaneswar via Dhenkanal and Cuttack during day time.
