Members of the Sanksarbadi and the KC High School Old Students’ Association sat on a dharna in front of the house of Brahmapur MlA Dr RC Chyaupanaik demanding takeover of three old high schools of the city by the State Government.
Sanskarbadi president Trinath Moharana, students’ union president Madhusunda Sahu and Rajanikant Mandal led the dharna.
They alleged that the MlA has remained callous vis-à-vis the demand of takeover 164-year-old KC High School and two other old schools by the Government.
The dharna continued from 7 am till 10 am. The agitation would be expedited if demands are not met soon, said Old Students’ Union secretary Rabinarayan Sabat.
