A dhaba owner allegedly raped a 38-year-old doctor at her residence at Chhendipada in Angul district while he had gone there to deliver a food order on June 28 night.As per police complaint lodged by victim, who works as a doctor at Chhendipada Community Health Centre (CHC), accused Sukant Behera came to her Government quarter for delivering food. But finding her alone, Behera barged into her home and raped her. He also threatened her of dire consequences if she revealed the matter to anyone. Notably, the unmarried doctor stays with her brother, but he was not present on fateful day. Acting on FIR filed by woman, the Chhendipada police investigated incident and arrested accused. The victim was sent for medical examination on Wednesday and further probe are ongoing.
