Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay on Sunday visited Kandhamal district and reviewed the Leftwing extremism (LWE) situation along with that of Kalahandi, Rayagada, and Nabarangpur districts.
He visited the CRPF camp along with CRPF SDG Kuldeep Singh, Director of Intelligence RK Sharma, IG of Operations Amitabh Thakur and the CRPF IG. The DGP reviewed the Maoist operational strategy in the area with the SPs of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Kandhamal. The State police and the CRPF are working together to counter the menace of LWE in these areas.
