DGP Abhay on Saturday praised the Commissionerate police personnel for their “outstanding” work during the pandemic situation.
Addressing the 13th Raising Day ceremony of Commissionerate police here, he said that because of the Covid-19 situation, the workload of the police increased. He also congratulated the Commissionerate police for launching crackdowns against food adulteration and cracking several organised crimes, including the loot in Cuttack IIFL.
Commissioner of Police Sudhansu Sekhar Sarangi said the year 2020 was quite challenging and police officials worked hard to handle the situation. He further stated that had the people of the twin cities not cooperated, it would have been a herculean task for the police to maintain law and order.
