Devotees visiting the Jagannath Temple here can get the Mahaprasad soon.

As per a decision at a meeting between the Suar Mahasuar Nijog and Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Krishan Kumar on Tuesday, restrictions on sale of the Mahaprasad would be eased and devotees would be able to order for it during the holy month of Kartik.

The Mahaprasad would be available at the Uttar Dwar and Dakshin Dwar of the temple, said a member of the Nijog.

The meeting also decided to propose to the State Government to reopen of the temple for visitors from the first week of December. Sources said the SJTA has already suggested the Government to allow devotees to pay obeisance to the deities at the Arun Stambh as the temple has been closed in view of Covid-19.

Notably, the Suar Mahasuar Nijog had stopped accepting orders for the Mahaprasad last month after many servitors tested positive.
