A devotee collapsed in the premises of the Jagannath Temple here and died after offering prayer to the deities on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Manohar Lal, aged about 72 years, from Cuttack district.
According to reports, the septuagenarian fell unconscious while he was on his way back through the Ghanti Dwar of the temple after paying obeisance to the deities in the shrine. He was rushed to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
