Saturday morning’s depression over southwest Bay of Bengal moved westwards and crossed Tamilnadu coast near Nagapattinam between 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm of the day and lay centred about 40 km North-Northeast of Tiruchirapalli at 5.30 pm on Saturday.
The system would move west-northwestwards and weaken gradually into a well-marked low pressure area during next 24 hours, said the Met office here. The depression would have no impact on Odisha, where the sky would remain cloudy till November 21 and rains or thundershowers would occur at one or two places in the southern part of the State.
