Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribe Federation convener Birendra Sethi alleged the direction of the Chief Minister is not being carried out by the Agriculture department in the case of promotion of four SC and ST Deputy Secretaries to Joint Secretaries.
While the State Government is providing various schemes for the upliftment of the SC and ST people in the State, the SC and ST officers are being neglected and deprived of legitimate dues, he said.
The Chief Minister had directed the authorities to appoint the four officers in joint secretary posts. But the direction is not being carried out even after 20 months, lamented Sethi and warned if the State Government fails to provide the genuine rights to officials under SC and ST cadre, the federation will launch a stir.
