Demo held in J'Spur to boycott China goods

The Jagatsinghpur Gana Sangram Parishad, a leading social body here, staged a protest meeting and demonstration at the bus-stand on Friday demanding boycott of China goods in India.

The protestors appealed to the people to stay away from China goods and use locally made ones.

The agitators claimed these foreign made goods were killing the business of domestic products. With a motive to capture gigantic Indian market, China has been fetching low-priced goods and our people without asserting its quality and durability are purchasing these products regularly. For the national interest, we should patronize our products and services available in country and refuse to buy China goods, said Parishad secretary advocate Basudev.

The protest meeting was supported by hundreds of school and college students, educationists, social activists and locals.
