The Dalit Adhikar Manch, Khariar, held demonstrations in front of CHC, Khariar and Wesco on Friday.
Members of the Manch claimed that the pathology lab and the Niramaya centre in the CHC are not working properly and the doctors are advising the patients to go to the private laboratories for pathology tests.
"Such harassment of patients must stop," demanded the agitators.
The agitators also demanded filling of vacant specialist posts in the CHC. Besides, they demanded uninterrupted power supply with proper voltage while demonstrating in front of the Wesco office.
The office was locked due to the Raja holiday; therefore, a field staff was called by the police to accept the memorandum.
The demonstrations were led by Manch president Kamal Charan Tandi.
Among others, Nimai Tandi, Surendra Kumar and Hemanta Jagat were also present.
