The TG Surakshya Trust and the Bright life Welfare Charitable Trust held a demonstration at Master Canteen here on Sunday protesting against the “anti-transgender” Bill to be passed by the Central Government in the Parliament.
The kinnars alleged that the Bill has no provisions about the transgenders’ reservation in politics, education and employment and other fields and employment as per the Supreme Court’s Nalsa judgement and no provisions of formation of a Third Gender Commission.
They said the Central Government is unnecessary passing a Bill which is being opposed by all the transgenders of the country. Among others, Bright life chairman Pratap Sahu and kinnars Menka, Sweety, Rina, Guduli, Priya, Puja, Deepa, Sonam, Minati, Basanti, Mamata and Riya were present.
