The ongoing agitation for fulfilment of demands like establishment of a JMFC court, sub-treasury, sub-registry office and recognition of CHC as a First Referral Unit (FRU) at Tarbha in Subarnapur district gained momentum as hundreds of students of the AES College joined the dharana on the 4th day on Friday. Bar Association, Citizen Committee and Journalist Association of Tharbha have been sitting on the dharna in front of block office since Tuesday. Sources said the ogranisations have been placing the above demands for the last 4 years.
“Most of the people under Tarbha block are economically backward. They will not need spent more to get justice if a JMFC court is established here and establishment of a sub-treasury and sub-registry officer will help them a lot,” pointed out agitators.
